Program Descriptions
African American Male Initiative: aims to empower African American males and improve their quality of life. This initiative has remained an important part of Columbus Urban League’s mission since the initiative was founded in 2007. Under this initiative, Columbus Urban League helps educate and connect fathers to assist them in becoming nurturing, responsible fathers. Another program under the initiative helps ex-offenders transition back into society.
Financial Empowerment Services: aims to help counsel local citizens when they are looking to buy or rent housing. Columbus Urban League educates prospective buyers/renters on finding fair housing and finding financially responsible options.
